I got a little more info from the sales guys. When this suspension was designed the main goal no matter what was to totally optimize suspension geometry for literal race car like handling in a street cruiser, building the suspension based on number goals and a new spindle design. To meet these goals one compromise was to locate the rack slightly under the engine. Combined with seeking the correct driveline angle in a super low chassis meant raising the engine slightly. One reason we focused on the LS was because there would be no issues with running one under a stock hood. By the time you consider an aftermarket intake height plus carb plus air filter, a big block would likely require some sort of scoop. All ExtReme products share the same basic frame rail design where the engine is located. I learned our customer who put a big block in an ExtReme frame was in a C10 so there wasn't any hood clearance issues.

There is 28" between frame rails at the front crossmember. We checked online and found some good dimensional drawings for engines on a google search, you may look up LS and compare to Big Block and then take some measurements of your current set up to see if it would fit. Our phone number is 435-628-4300 if you want to chat more specifically about what it might take to slip one in there. Just ask for the Tech guys.
