WOW Tracy!! That is some of the best custom interior work I have seen. Im off to see more pics. Thanks for sharing. Wish you were closer. You would have another job coming your way.

Id love to be able to scroll through your photobucket album to look at all the build pics??? Prolly asking too much huh.

Ok, so Ill pick your brain here. The dash, seats and door panels are all items I can get my head around. I wont be doing the work but I still have to give a lot of input for my desired look to the local shops. And to do that I need to know how some items are accomplished to relay to the interior shop what Id like to see. If its even doable.

The areas that baffle me are prolly the simplest for you. But the seams are what I cant figure out. The seams from the various interior sections. Like the transition from the roof headliner to the door frame. How is that handled. Or the A pillar covering. And the carpet to door sill. Any areas of the interior that meet the metal of the car body. Did you make them also or find stock items and recover them? On my car the welded seams were covered by some ugly windlace. Not what I want. I want a seamless look, a more modern look.

The reason I ask is because my car is bare right now. Not a stitch of cloth and no trim pieces to speak of. So its gonna be alot of fabricated panels or grafting pieces from other cars and recovering them. Yes, in leather.

Last lil Q? Not that you can give the cost of the job, or if you can even better. But if you can narrow it down to within 3000 bucks. 15g, 20g, 25g? More? Im just trying to get a better understanding of what very high quality work costs and what I might look to spend for something similar while also trimming the budget realizing I cant have it all. . I have a dash and seats but thats about all. No trim, headliner, carpet, kick panels ,door panels or center console. And it will be a two seater. Rear section just carpeted with side panels (62 Nova without rear seats). My budget for the interior is 10g max. I have to budget that much for paint too.

So I have 20g set aside for the inside and outside. And I have been shopping. But too many times I have to describe exactly what I want. And thats a good thing I think, no surprises. But to describe what I want requires me to know a lil about what can be done. And at this point I dont have a clue. So Im scavenging for ideas. Id love to see some build pics.. You guys do great work. JR
