At this point I'm looking at the 2.3 ecoboost. Mostly from a weight savings perspective. I haven't been able to find a published weight of a 2.3. A Ford Motorsports rep said the 2.3 is 247 lbs. I'm not sure that is correct, 347 lbs is more believable. My goal is to have the Falcon weigh half of what the (4000 lb) Galaxie weights. I feel 300 hp would move that along pretty well for auto-x or a short road course.
Ecoboost weights (DRY)
V6 3.5: 449 lbs (203 kg)
V6 2.7: 440 lbs (200 kg)
I4 2.0: 328 lbs(149 kg)
I4 1.6: 251 lbs (114 kg)
