Under 1000rwhp shouldn't be an in issue with quality pistons/tune/fuel. Above that I would probably want to run something with steel rods.

There are a number of people making 750-800rwhp on stock LS7 shortblocks with either nitrous or blowers for years. Just search on corvetteforum.com for a bunch of examples. The weak link in a stock LS7 setup starts with the thin cylinder walls.
An LS2 or LS3 block has thicker walls to begin with and a better choice or resleeved block for big power.

Wet sump style crank and set of rods sold.

Still have the turned .010/.010" and polished factory style dry sump 4" stroke forged crank and another set of Ti LS7 redone rods.
