Default TANKS INC 67-68 fuel pump measurement

Checking the tanks inc instructions and I got 7"5/16 base measurement. Is that about normal. I think you then subtract 1" so setup with the sock should be 6'5/16 does this number seem right to others that have used this setup

From what I remember, you don't want more than 1/4 of an inch between the bottom of the sock and the tank, if even that. Same goes for the bottom of the return tube. As for the sock, you just want to avoid putting pressure on it or crushing it when it's in position in the tank; the return line (slash cut at bottom) also shouldn't be blocked for downward flow, but it should also not seem like peeing off of a ledge when re-depositing fuel . . .

Tanks Inc. directions (also available on their site) should handle this well.
