How do the headers not melt plug wires and burn valve covers and everything else near by?

Personally I love builds like this --- this one is close to my heart since I drove a '64 Polara 500 - 383 / 4 speed car for a couple years....

I love what The Roadster Shop did here!!! But I'm with you --- I don't want to have to wrench on it!! LOL

Jesse isn't a fan of showcars nor was he even enthusiastic to take it to SEMA, which makes me hope he'll put this build to good use. but it still isn't finished.
