Default NRG short hub with Flaming River Steering Column issue

Hi guys

I Installed the NRG short hub along with their steering wheel quick disconnect yesterday but I noticed that there is about a 1/4 inch gap between the hub and the flaming river steering column housing ( not sure if it is the right name for it).

The hub is fully seated and through the steering column shaft splines.

However, not sure the reason why there is such a gap shown in the below link

Will appreciate your input guys if anyone also ran into this issue

I have the nrg short hub with a gm steering column and I believe mine has a gap as well about 1/8". I'll have to check tomorrow for you.

1/8” of gap is not a big issue I belive. But in mine it is very noticeable.
