I had some wall thickness variation in the nickle copper lines. Using the Eastwood flare too would cause "blowouts" I'll try to upload a pic...
The Eastwood dies don't index perfectly either. So between the wall thickness issues, the tool alignment issues and the soft material this is what the results have been. I get a perfect flare 4 out of 5 times.
The eastwood tool isn't really setup for single flare, since then I've figured out a way to do it. On the new stainless lines I've been only doing a single 37*.
Like I said I could get 80-90% success with the double 37* flare, just when it counted, of course I would have issues.
