Thanks, Brake lines are ni-copper fuel is stainless. I was fighting the ni-copper on 37* single flare.

Finally had a warm enough day to paint the center section. Assemble the axle, and got it slid under the car. I've got to say, final assembly and worrying about scratching paint feels weird.

Where'd you find those black line clamps? I was just looking for something like that the other night. I was thinking i'd have to just buy the natural ones and have them anodized.

I'm not sure if you need metal clamps or not, but made4uproducts has some nice clamp options (and several colors).

Made in the US, lifetime warranty. I think they are made from nylon.

They are plastic but seem to do the job well. Actually clamp the line tight unlike the aluminum ones I bought.

I had some wall thickness variation in the nickle copper lines. Using the Eastwood flare too would cause "blowouts" I'll try to upload a pic...

The Eastwood dies don't index perfectly either. So between the wall thickness issues, the tool alignment issues and the soft material this is what the results have been. I get a perfect flare 4 out of 5 times.

The eastwood tool isn't really setup for single flare, since then I've figured out a way to do it. On the new stainless lines I've been only doing a single 37*.

Like I said I could get 80-90% success with the double 37* flare, just when it counted, of course I would have issues.

Damn, good to know, thank you. I just received my Eastwood deburring tool. A must when flaring tube. I was going to do SS as you did for the fuel lines but after reading many threads on here changed my mind and decided to go NiCopp. I will be using the Rigid#377, 37* flaring tool.

You should be good on single flare. I think my issue was combination of tubing wall inconsistency and flare tool alignment.
