Talking 55 Chevy 210 build start to finish...built my way/////

I've been around a while but mostly lurking although I thought I had a thread started, can't find it.

Anyway, finishing up my 55 Chevy project. I've made a few shake down runs, first time on the street since 1972!!! That was before I was born!

Was a drag car for many years until being retired due to the frame becoming to weak from rust at the front of the rear leaf spring perchs. As well as floor rust and other areas.

I started on the car after selling my Pro Tour 70 Chevelle back in 2011. Still miss that car but have enjoyed building the 55. I had a vision for the 55 which I turned into the rendering which is my Avatar pic. The final look of the car is pretty close to that with just a few adjustments. I'm happy with the outcome...probably a little different than most 55's you've seen but I wanted it to stand out a bit but still have the sinister look these cars are known for. I hope you enjoy the pics if I can get them to load!

Greg

The Chevelle's rollers arent working for me on the 55 but had to try them out. The guy that picked up the Chevelle didnt want these.

Started removing rusted areas and mocking up new sheetmetal.

Welcome back.

Huge 55 fan here.

I post a lot of pics on here and found this free image hosting site extremely easy to use.

Big 55 fan here as well. I have a Bel Air hardtop. Looking forward to seeing the entire build, That one was full of rust for sure.

I had a 55 4 door that I ran in C-Gas back in the mid-60s, I understand your love for yours.
Very nice looking forward to more pics.
