Thanks! It's definitely the road less traveled (for good reason, haha) but I'm pretty happy with the end result.

The Furrin Group guys are a lot of fun to run with. I've ran both my Chevelle and the Vette at a few of there events. The fall event at US131 is super fun and with the Jeep having big power, I bet you'd do good there.

Brad is a pretty good wheel man too isn't he? He's one of those guys that can jump in and be fast. Hope to run into you at an event someday.

Cool build.

Brad sure likes a liberal dose of the loud pedal doesn't he?

It looks to me like you could give up a bit earlier on corner entry and it turn better and you could apply more throttle on corner exit. Trying to brake hard while initial turn in at the same time just doesn't favor your setup.

Still super cool and looked like you all were having a blast which is most important.

Give up early?? DO NOT lift until you see a guy with a beard wearing a white robe...

Yep, the Furrin guys and gals are great. Made a drag racer feel welcome. I've been to the 131 events before but not as a driver. Should be a bunch of fun in the 'ol Jeep I would think.

Yep, Brad is an animal behind the wheel. He showed up and wasn't planning on driving his car because of the noise ordinances but I twisted his arm into driving the Jeep after I didn't do it any justice during the first heat. End result, I know how hard it can be pushed, lol. And yes, he loves that throttle. Which is fortunate because I do too and the Jeep doesn't seem to mind either.

I had just put the front swaybar on before the event so I was used to a bunch of low speed oversteer and I need to put some hard miles on it to make it feel like second nature again.

As you know, been watching this thread since the start... and it's evil.

Brought this home last night:, to fit along with the C6 front and rear suspension I already have and maybe an LS3 with a TBSS front drive set up.

Jerk!

Ooooooh, that looks like a great one to start with! I can't wait to see progress. An awd one would be sweet. What color scheme are you thinking? So many good factory and custom possibilities.

I know first hand how hard it is to find a clean one. Just went through that process again, this '83 got totalled out in July and I'm starting over again. Idiot in a big body Caddy was going twice the speed limit and ran a red light, I had nowhere to go. Luckily the safety equipment did it's job and I made it out pretty well. Hit hard enough that it broke the rear suspension crossmember and pushed the axle back. The new one is coming along well.

Man, that is some serious suck! Glad to hear you made it out okay, though. On to the next version . . .

That really sucks, sorry man. Hopefully, the Caddy had good insurance.

I plan to leave it stock, with all the patina. Just fix the rot in the rockers and rear lower quarters. Everything else is solid, well except for the mouse colony in the head liner.

Trying to figure out how to make Corvette 19x12" rims look like 15x8" Cherokee wheels.

Luckily I have good insurance because he had NONE. My insurance company paid out the agreed value and that's a good start on the new one.

You're going to love the huge wheel wells on the wide trac Cherokees. They'll swallow up those 19x12s even on the front. My new one will have 17x11 all around and they still look small.
