Hey Phil what what kind of black paint are you using for the frame? and what kind of paint for the components? I'm out in the shop today (came home for the weekend) and was contemplating colors for the fast track 67 Mustang Front Clip I just got from you guys...

PS - pictures don't do it justice!!!

Also, what kind of steering is that on the car? Rack and Pinion with a hydraulic assist or something?

Keep up the good work!

Tom, glad you like the front clip. The Mustang stuff has been taking off lately. Great to see more Mustangs getting the P/T treatment. The new 5.0L motor and available suspension components have really opened up the Mustang market now!

The chassis on this car (and several others) is actually powder coated in a satin black. The control arms and components are painted in a few different silvers and charcoals with matte clear. We try to do 1 or 2 colors so there is some contrast and you can make out each of the parts instead of a sea of one color where individual components tend to disappear.

The rack on this chassis is a hydraulic power assist built by Woodward.

Here are a few more pictures of the progress on the car over the past few days. I've been holding out on your pictures Mike! I'll send you copies of these as well for your files.

The monster 800 HP, 572 installed in the chassis with T-56 trans and custom stainless headers and exhaust.
