Back to work on the F100! First off I've wrapped up the rendering. Bentley wanted a look that says pro-touring but with a little bit of Dub City Diecast look to it. The body lines on this thing are like the everlasting rolling hills of Indiana and really needs something more than a single color to break things up. As many of these trucks have been done multi-tone paint was in order but we wanted to steer clear of the common separate the colors with a heartbeat swoosh stripe on the door. Packing a Speedtech ExtReme chassis our design concept needs to visually stand out so it hits a little different chord by combining charcoal grey, silver, and a really cool shade of BMW blue. That amazing suspension and drivetrain along with a wicked stance, super wide tires and some minor custom body mods it'll for sure be unique from the parked in the grass show car scene.

Thanks fellas!

After disassembly you really get a feel for just how small the passenger compartment on these things are, right?

Media blasting always reveals the sore spots, and luckily for a truck this old that's been worked and reworked, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. We were able to save most of the sheetmetal, but it will still take some rust repair and hammer and dolly work to even it all out. More coming soon...

Bentley lucked out on it being mostly rust free, but even still, to properly repair some of the already done repairs would be more labor costly than replacing some sheet metal so we opted for that on a couple areas: the front valance, one front fender, and one bed side along with a couple patch panels. We also picked up a pair of widened rear fenders as well. Pictured below is a 315-30-18, it looks tiny in that huge old fender! We haven't got the chassis fully built yet but we're thinking a 335 all the way around would clear easily. So far we're looking at 20" wheels up front and 22"s out back.

To make room for the LT4 and 8 speed we had to trim the out trans opening and massage the firewall a bit.

While the body repairs and upgrades are underway our welding team got the ExtReme F100 chassis mocked up and we slipped the engine and trans into place to begin fitment. Once in place we mocked it all up with the cab. This will be our first of many future LT builds, we're pretty excited to get this program off the ground. The F100 is a great way to showcase this too, not many would expect to see that mill under the hood.

Because the customer wanted a lt4.
The Coyote is so huge and we would have had to do custom headers motor mounts and various other things and then you still don't get 650hp.
we may look at incorporating the parts need to do a Coyote in the future if we get some action on the chassis. but i can tel you that a traditional SBF or BBF will not fit with the rack placement so that is an issue.

Body work continues. We're using a flush mount Kindigit door handle and deleting the key hole. The handle is located below the body line now and will be centered in the silver stripe.

On the front fenders we raised the rear lower portion to line up with the running board and match the fiberglass rear fenders. A subtle mod that will clean up the bottom line of the truck.

Next up, the cancer at the drip rail line was cut out plus a little extra to make sure it's all gone.

Finally for now another subtle mod to the tailgate- the ribs and Ford logo are deleted and the outer vertical rails had material added to make them blend better than the original simple squared off shape. This theme will carry around to the side vertical rails, and in the process the hinges will be hidden.
