Hey Guys;
Just wanted to start off by saying thanks for the support so far, I haven't been on this forum very long but there has been a lot folks visiting from this community on my website.
Our story doesn't begin with what you would normally find being built on this forum but from a 1980 C10 pickup that I inherited from my dad. Well everybody here knows how projects can easily creep into a larger than expected beast and that is exactly what happened while building my 1980 Chevy C10. I inherited this pick up from my father when I was 15 Years old and had big plans to build the fastest, highest HP, beast of a truck you could dream of. Of course I had no Idea what I was doing so ended up screwing up A lot of stuff while I dismantled the truck. Spent way more money on parts that weren't needed or I wrecked when trying to install them. It took a long time to earn that money bagging groceries.
I started to feel overwhelmed, and didn't want to admit I had no clue so I didn't put much effort into finishing this project. Time goes on and I load it onto a trailer through 4 moves, having a kid, getting married, and new jobs. When finally I figured it was time to get serious and finish.
I managed to get the frame stripped, painted, and finished the engine a 383 SBC stroker. Even fired it up with the summit carb I had bough years ago and broke in the cam. While the build progressed and as I get closer to actually driving the truck my desires changed - I wanted it to be more street able and reliable, not the race truck I had envisioned. This led to researching EFI options, I had considered in the past installing a Megasquirt but didn't wan't to go through the trouble of learning how it works. Other EFI options were just too expensive. Finally a company released something that was within reach. I bought a FiTech 600 System and started figuring out how to install it.
Well installing the EFI I needed new fuel lines so I zipped over to the local speed shop and what do you know they wanted just about as much money for the braided AN lines and fittings as I paid for my EFI system. That's crazy and not right. I though I could do better.
Over a couple beers I started working out a plan in my head, and I couldn't shake the idea that this could be a successful business. There had to be other guys out there building projects that didn't want to spend an Arm and a leg for simple hose but still wanted quality stuff.
So the next step, over 6 months we reached out to manufacturers and got samples. Let me tell you there is some junk out their in the market and we didn't want to sell that. So after a bunch of testing we found a product that met our standards. Negotiated like crazy and made a very large commitment to purchase. If this idea didn't work out we would be sitting on hose for years!
Ok - So what happened with your AN hose and AN fittings. Well our initial product offering was blue/red fittings and stainless hose in AN6 Size and AN8 Size. Only PTFE lined hose. WE SOLD OUT in the first 3 weeks of AN6 Hose and AN6 fittings. Completely underestimated the demand for this product.
Today - We have reordered our AN hose and fittings multiple times and guys keep coming back for more. We have had great reviews and feedback on the product and keep revising our offerings. Blue and Red hose is very popular for example.
We screwed up a bunch too, but always do our best to make it right and keep you our customers happy.
Well that was a long, long story.
If you actually made it to the bottom and are interested in some of our products I have 5 special discount codes for Lateral-G members. Please PM me and I will generate it for you, I won't be posting it as it is above what our normal discounts will be I promise you it will be worthwhile.
