Default modified hood release for Birds?

Any 67-69 firebird owners modify a hood latch release set up (cable)? Any info or pics would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'd be interested as well but for my 68 Camaro.

Default 1st Gen Hood Release

I thought I would resurrect an old thread and see if anyone has an ideas they would like to contribute. I have a 69 Firebird and would like to clean up the hood latch area and add a cable pull.

There was a thread on pt.com about using early 90's VW hood catch and lokar cable release.

I have to modify the support brace that runs to the lower section of the core support, to clearance the intercooler and the condenser. Not a big deal, but wanted to see if anyone had done something a little different.

I was waiting to see if Screamin' Performance ever got some of these VW conversion sets back in stock, but it's been a while and I don't think they ever got any more. While I was looking for some billet switches I can across this website that also has some of these conversion sets.

Not sure how to get them to work, but might be an option.
