Default NOS vs. reproduction 68 Camaro grill

Converting a 68 RS to standard grill. For those that know, is the repro stuff as good as nos quality and fit for the grill, bezels, buckets and parking lights? If so any specifics for brand names?
Thanks Dave

I'd have to say not as good as NOS because NOS was "official" GM made stuff. Of course the gauge metal was thicker back then and the parts where stamped with GM tooling, made in GM plants. Repro/repop stuff now is thinner gauge metal, made in China and doesn't fit as well. There are some companies claiming to be US made and of course some fit better than others or fit with little to no fabrication. NOS is better, but is more expensive and even more so harder to find. Therefore, when you do...you're going to pay top dollar for it. Different vehicle, but I belong to a C10 truck forum and NOS tailgates are going for $1100. Most companies get all of their stuff from the same manufacturers as there are only a few from my understanding, but I could be wrong. Maybe someone else can elaborate on that. Meaning, Year One, AMD (Auto Metal Direct), OPGI (Original Parts Group), NPD (National Parts Depot), etc may all sell the same stuff, varying in price, but it all comes from the same manufacturer...somewhere overseas or the few US makers.

CHQ (Classic Headquarters) parts are better fit and quality than OER. Use them whenever you can. They have their own tooling andthey do have a 68 grille.

Awesome guys that's what I wanted to know. I'm sure some parts are reproduced better than others, brand names are appreciated. I'm looking at a pair of nos parking lights today. Thanks Again

NOS is a better choice, but it will cost you $$$. I agree, the CHQ stuff is pretty good.

For the majority of my build I have used reproduction parts, and most if it has fit relatively well, but coincidently the pieces I have that don't fit, are the headlight bezels...

That's the kind of info I'm looking for, bezels have inconsistent fit from aftermarket. I'm looking at a pair of nos parking lights but not sure if it's worth going nos for the parking lights?
Thanks again
