I was looking at a couple of sets of Recaro seats for the Camaro but missed out on both sets. So I picked these up.

Well I'm back from 15 days in Fl seeing my brother, my 2 sister in laws, Then to Suffolk Va. for 4 days for my grandson's Baptism. It was great to see them all, but now worried about Irma. They're all on the east cost in Fl, and where my daughter lives near Norfolk it floods with a good rain. My son in law is a Navy corpsman and might get sent to the Caribbean today for hurricane relief.
I hope they all do OK then maybe I can get back at it in the garage and pick up where I left off.

I just got word my seats are on their way.

Seats came in Tuesday they look pretty good.

I finished epoxying in the Auto Meter gauge pod on my 5th gen console, here's a couple of quick shots of it.

'

I"ll finish it with a thin coat of filler and then probably have it hydro dipped.

Woo Hoo, It's looking good. I believe that console is going to be a nice touch once complete.
Did you go ahead and sit in the seat and get that feeling again of actually driving the car, not just climbing in and out of it to work on it?
To me, when that point came it was like a shot of adrenaline to help me thru the long laborious process.

Not yet, my knees were aching from standing on the concrete floor for 6 hours sanding the console. I was Afraid I would never want to get out the seats look so comfortable! lol. Compared to the factory seats.

Thanks guys, I went by my buddy's shop (He will be painting the car ) to ask him to let me have some filler to finish it up. He says sure as he does with anything I ever need. He takes it fills it we start bull****ting, then he tells me to wait til it hardens, then he sand it down. I told him I'll do it he says it needs another coat put it on and sands that. He mentions he forgot to eat so I offer to go get him lunch. I get back it's all sanded and primed. He tells me to wait 3-4 day then water sand it with 600. Then he says bring it back and we'll paint it if you want.

Here's how it came out.

All it cost me was a cheese burger and a coke, a small one at that.

I'm going to see if he has some pictures of the custom work he did. It was amazing. When I had the 73 Z/28 he was going to put a worrier like Zena with a sword holding a Cobra she killed on the center of the L88 hood in the center. We never got to do it.
