Default Project Daily Driver

Just picked this up a couple of days ago in a town called Prather way back in the hills northeast of Fresno. It was a hell of a drive pulling a trailor but the scenery was beautiful. The seller had her in his garage for twenty years less engine. He pulled it outside last July to make room for his business and couldn't stand to see it get weathered so he decided to sell it. Do to how clean she is I decided to make her a daily driver.

Very nice! You rarely get to see that quality in an unmolested interior. What are the current plans?

Its a good thing its got mud flaps on it. Looks like they pretty much cover the tire width. LOL

I know, the dash, dash pad, glove box inside and out, even ash tray and cigarette lighter are cherry. No pits in the bumpers but a couple paint chips from getting hit while stored in garage. The paint is 22 years old and since it spent 20 years stored in garage it still looks great.

Although it does have a 9 inch with 33 spline strange axles and a ladder bar set up in conjunction with leafs. The shocks were brought in board also.

I dont have the heart to molest this one due to how clean it is but I do want to make it a nice driver so I will probably change the upper control arms and tuck the originals away. I'd also like to find a nice 12 bolt for it.

My dillema is the Alston 8 point cage. Not sure if I should pull the whole thing out or keep the rear half in the car.

A nice, simple, 400 hp LS motor is what I'm planning. I dont want to mess with the tunnel and I'd like to put a manual in it but not sure yet. Automatics are always nice for daily drivers.

Main direction for this one is just to have a nice, comfortable, clean daily driver. No autocross or road racing for this one.
