Default Secure Items to Sheet Metal w/o Drilling

Looking to find a place to secure a Terminator ECU, MSD 6A ignition box and maybe a few other things to inside of a smoothed firewall without drilling holes. Would tack welding these "aligning weld nuts" be an okay method?

Those would work well.... just make sure your bolt doesn't contact the fire wall. Or it may dent the exterior.

II Much Fabrication makes standoffs for this reason. You may try looking at them.
