Default header to fuel lines clearance

Looking for opinions on how close I can safely have my headers to my fuel lines. I'm going to make it so the header is as far away as I can get it from the fuel lines. However, they are on the lower portion of the firewall so they run through the same area as the header. I'll probably wrap or cover the fuel lines with high temp sleeves as well just because I like to be safe. So, what say you about how close you'd have a primary tube to the fuel lines?

I have Earls Prolite 350 lines.

Thanks

since its a hose I would say at least a 2" air gap.

Aeroquip hose has a nomex outer layer and would be a better choice.

Thanks Vince. I appreciate the feedback. I have thermocouplers at my disposal with my new job. I'm going to test the area once everything is back together. I just wanted to design it so that I hopefully don't have to make changes.

IMO, you need hard line with fire sleeve on any runs next to the exhaust.

Thanks Neil. The lines really just kind of cross paths with the headers versus running side by side. So close proximity is limited greatly.

FWIW - I safety wired thermal wrap around the OEM hard line. This picture is from the bottom looking up.

Thanks, Scott. I intend to do something similar most likely with my hoses. I won't be anywhere near as close as your line is either.

This is perfect. Comes in multiple sizes an doesn't draw attention to itself. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dei-010470 . I use it anytime fuel of brake lines run near a header.

I used this on my starter cable routed to my trunk, it was close to the headers so I sleeved it and it worked great.
