Default Angle Milling Heads

Let's say i had a .20 angle cut on a set cast heads. Would I also have to cut the intake to match? If so, is this an expensive process? Also, what is the best way to measure for the cut. A friend of mine had this done on a set of Ford heads, and when we tried to install the intake on the motor we had about a 1/4" gap at the front and rear. The guy at the machine shop said that he would elongate the intake bolt holes and we can fill the gaps with silicone and it would seal fine. Something just doesn't seem right! Any help from you knowledgeable folks would be great. Thank you.

Quick response here w/out checking the link, but Bill Mitchell's Hardcore site has / had all the angles & dimensions for angle-milling.
