To paint or not to paint satin black the brightwork on the window felts? The Qtr window trim is getting painted satin black.

Since the quarter window trim is black then I would paint the window felts black as well. It looks like a lot of your accenting is black on the car. e.g reverse lights, rear panel.
Is your weatherstrip moulding along the roof line black?
Maybe consider using some black door handles? I'm sure the handles you have on there now would sell quickly. Your ride your call.

Paint looks really slick but all the incredible custom mods you've done to the car blows me away.

Thanks for the feedback and comments. The door handles are anodized black and the roof rail trim is painted black as well. I was leaning towards painting them as well.

I have the same issue. Tried to find some without the metal....don't seem to exist. I'm going to carefully scuff, etch and paint matte. Would be interested if you have any better process.

I think the same process as you described.

Door hinge details....pardon the dust. We are in full assembly thrash mode.

Engine and trans back for the final time.....

Just to give you guys a heads up there are 2 different types of window felts for 69's. Original restoration looking is with the round bead & the flat bead one. It might be easier to paint the flat bead one but I'm not sure how the flat one sits, cushioned under the bead to prevent paint damage?
