Default I must be insane!

I have been a car nut for 40 years, My first car was a 76 455 4sp Black Trans AM. I guess I am trying to relive my youth. Going to build this all myself in my own Home Shop/Garage.

I started with a $200 71 Formula 4spd RUSTY CARCASS bought out of Wisconsin. I have replaced almost every panel except the roof and outer cowl. I have installed a DSE Quadralink, Minitubs, Subframe Connectors, and Hydorformed Subframe. Wilwood Aero 6 Brakes, and have Been working with Jason Rushforth on a set of wheels. LT4, Ultimate Headers, TKO-600, and a 9".

Here are a few picks of along the way.

Wow! You’ve got the makings of a great project car, love those early 70’s Camaro’s. Any thoughts on an exhaust system yet? Can’t wait to see the finished product. Until then good luck on the build!

Subscribed.

I love 2nd gen builds and looking forward to seeing this one.

On a side note I have a set of NOS door skins if you need them. I bought them and then realized they were not for a Camaro.

Thanks for the compliments!

The goal is to do all the work myself. It will take a few years, but it is my midlife crisis car!

I have done most of the work before in some capacity on other cars in my past. I did the muscle car thing for quite a few years, then the street rod thing. I sold off a couple cars to build this one.

I still have a 55 Chevy 210 (pretty rotten, but has a lot of local history)

Also a fiberglass 32 Ford 3 Window coupe and a 29 Ford roadster pickup. Neither of these are enjoyable to drive.

Now its time to build something you can drive hard and enjoy!
