18" wheels on 69 Camaro - Lateral-g Forums

Hey guys, I am wanting to run 18" wheels on my 69 and I am looking for advice on size and backspace. The wheels tubs are stock. Thanks.

I can double check my notes at the shop, we have 3 '69 Camaros/F-birds with 18's on the back w/ no tubs. Generally, a 18x9.5" wheel will fit with a 5.5" backspace on a stock 10 or 12-bolt.

245 tire on a 18x8 w/ 5" b.s.
275 tire on a 18x9.5 w/ 5.5" b.s. (w/ discs)

Thanks for the info, will the 5" backspace on the front rub the subframe or control arms.

18x8 front (4.875" b/s) 245/45
18X10 rear (5.625" b/s) 275/40
No tubs or modifications...

I've got 5" BS fronts, it will rub the subframe unless you have some steering stoppers.

I think the 18's fill out the wheel wells perfect. One of the toughest decisions is what wheel to go with. You can make or break your car. You guys made a great choice. I appreciate all the advice I can get.

Agreed,agreed,and agreed...but why limit yourself to just one set?
