Default Seat Belts for Chevelle

Hi Guys, First post!. My Name is Josh and I recently bought a 65 chevelle. The wife is wanting me to install seat belts so the kids can be "safe" in the car. I was curious if you guys went with the classic car seat belt or did you do something else? Not a huge fan of the classic car seat belt style and was thinking about something a little simpler. Any ideas? Better yet any pictures? Thanks everyone! You guys sure have a ton of rad cars on here!

Josh

Thumbs up

In my opinion, retractable 3-points are the way to go for a street car. Easy of use, and better safety.

I run a Wesco Performance 3-point retractable belts in my Nova.

My Chevelle is old school... It has a belt driven power steering pump.
They're 17's, but I keep em clean!

You will have to do something custom for the 65' Chevelle for 3-points. I think you would have to custom make an anchor point up in the roof area??
You could get modern seats out of a car that has the belts built in?
I've been thinking about this also for mine............

Thanks guys! I would prefer not having to make a custom mount for the 3 point harnesses. I might end up just going with a 2 point setup. If i do end up going with a 3 point Morris Classic will be my pick for the supplier. Thanks for the replies! Appreciate the help!
