the only bad thing about a elec cut-out is they are slow to open (by slow i mean ~3 seconds) so they wouldnt be ideal for quick opening and closing

Maybe they have changed, the last one i had was bought a few years ago and i cant even remember who made it

Ford Racing has a muffler similar to that that was used in thier fr500 exhaust system for the Mustang Cobra. You can buy the mufflers seperately, but they are kinda pricey at $300 for the pair (cheapest I've found so far). The fr500 mufflers are backpressure operated instead of vacuum. They are for 2.5" pipe and both inlet and outlet are offset to the same side.

Some people with c6 z06 have customised a switch were they can open & shut
rather than taking out the fuse!
