Default Road Trip to pick up a car -- Part Deux

Within just a few days of exactly 3 years ago, some of you may recall the road trip that THE ROB and I took to rural New Hampshire to drive an old crusty Ford hauler back to California in the middle of winter. A road trip for the ages.

Well, it's time for another one. The same. But different.

This one is ONLY 2400 miles vs the 3400 miles last time. The timeline is a little tighter on this one (I have 2 kids to get back to this time). But I think the story behind this one makes it even better. More on that later.

I meet Rob in Houston tomorrow (Wednesday) and we fly over to Birmingham to get this party started.

So will this one be a Ford or a Chevy?

I already know some of the details from Rob spilling the beans but whats the plan beyond Houston and Birmingham??

Is the goal with this purchase to find something with more rust than that truck had and see if it makes it back in one piece?

I like how you mention a tight timeline, that word coming from you is hilarious! Does your wife actually believe you?

Have fun, drive safe(ish) and enjoy the beer!

Probably a Ford Pinto knowing your dumb ass. How do you plan to fit the Sasquatch?
