I tried recently because I have a 24" monitor and really wanted to use it.

Haven't found a bigger version yet.

Thought I'd give it a try anyways.

So I cleared off the shortcut icons of my desktop (couldn't get rid of the 'recyle bin' though), set this as my desktop background and the pic looks great IMO even though its 'stretched'.

I depends on what version of windows you are using Skip.
You may be able to get rid of the recycle bin.

What version of windows are you running Skip?
I just got a new computer with the Vista operating system, but have it switched to look like Windows XP.
Let me know if you need any help!

Thanks Tony.

I found this link.

http://www.petri.co.il/delete_recycl...in_xp_2003.htm

I've never opened the registry editor before.

Not sure if I will now either.

LOL!!!!!
It's kind of easy if you have Windows Vista. Just click on the START menu, then go to CONTROL PANEL, then to PERSONALIZATION, click change desktop icons, and you should be able to uncheck the RECYCLE BIN if you want to not view it on the desktop.
Hope this helps, but I understand if you are "weary" of doing anything. GOOD LUCK!

Tony,

I chose XP because Vista had just been released and I had heard some horror stories about it.

I checked 'Control Panel' and it does not have that nice way to change the icons like how you described the process for Vista.

Thanks for the help though.

Not a problem Skip.
I just bought a new pc with the VISTA operating system. I was very weary of doing that, but after talking with my buddy, who knows a little bit more than I, he convinced me it was a good system. (His brother is like a computer genius, and that's where he gets all his info from.)

That could come in handy.

When I grow up, I definitely want to be a 'geenyus'!

Seriously, that is good to know Vista has improved with age.
