Default Selling parts overseas

I've got some parts for sale and a few interested parties from overseas, Sweden and Australia. What is the best way of going about the transaction and shipping?

Find out the dimensions/weight of your packages to find out the shipping cost and then just do Paypal to have them transfer the money to you. Transfer the money from PayPal to your bank. Explain to the buyers that you'll ship the parts as soon as the money clears the bank.

Shipping is pretty similar, payment is always harder, I'm an Aus living in the states, still with Australian bank accounts, PayPal or bank transfer are the best way. Forget google wallet and Facebook payments, I have tried

Sometimes overseas buyers have a shipping "aggregator" you ship to that's here.... and once he gets enough stuff - then he figures out the shipping.

Just don't let them try to talk you into declaring a lower value etc --- then you're messing with the feds.

Exactly what one of them has asked, to avoid some of the duty taxes I imagine.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not familiar with PayPal and wasn't sure if it was a secure way of doing things.

Aus duty taxes are a killer, 10% on purchase price I believe, I'm not surprised they tried.

And PayPal is one of the most secure ways for both parties, they even get buyer protection, just ensure they pay the 3% fee

"They" may or may not be trying to avoid paying duties.... It's more likely they are buying enough goods that they can combine all these parts and pieces and perhaps have also purchased a car. That way they can combine all the stuff in one shipping container and that is the way they're trying to save. On the shipping costs.

When I was an importer in NYC -- we had a full time employee in England and his job was to aggregate all the products we ordered in to a single container - and filed all the paperwork and had quality control duties etc. At the time we imported a container a week.... It wasn't about trying to avoid the duties as those were based on the individual invoices from each factory.

PayPal is a great way to do business both for buyers and sellers.

We pay 10% goods and services tax on anything with a value over $1000aud (including the freight)

Paying aud/usd conversion, freight and gst makes parts real expensive, real quick.

Our government is changing the rules so that we'll be paying 10% gst on everything coming into the country soon.

I buy and ship parts/cars from US to Finland, Europe.
I use freight forwarder in all 4 sides of the large country.
Have ship to address in NY, CA, FL and TX.
Also use priority air freight services.

Paying I use Pay Pal or Swift check throuh banks. Or have one of my freight guy's to do it.
I write Swift check to seller on my web bank with official form. They then send it to New York and from there it will be printed and sended as registered letter to seller. Has worked for years.

Importing to EU is expensive. Need to pay 10-25% import tax (depends of the part type) and then 24% vat. Ita like this:
Part price(+possible inland shipping) + over seas freight x import tax%
then part price (+inland shipping)+ over seas freight + import taxes x24 VAT

Shipping with containers there is little or no room for dealing. Exsample Miami customs moves containers very easilly to further clarification area and that costs 600$/day. Manifests have to have right amount of pallets, right weight and right amount of receits. So pretty easy to lose than gain.
