Default Best seats for a 69 Camaro?

ok, I love the Recaro type But I hate to spend $2000 and then have to have them re-covered. Is there a way to get factory seconds?

If not what would be a good second choice that fits the car? I looked at the Corvette seats but I think there to high. I'm waiting to see a set that has been cut down but there not ready yet.

I have a set of 2000 4th Gen seats but they really have not lumbar or side support, Worst case if money runs out I can use them.

Just wanted to see what you guys think, Picks would be great.

I like the Procar Rallys, they keep a little of the factory look.

What seat you ever choose take em with neck supports. I still cant understand why many use street rod seats in "pro-toruing" car or even any car wich is driven on street

Those probably won't fit very well in a 1st gen. I have an '06 GTO too, the seats are huge and would probably be more at home in a Chevelle/GTO.

1993-2002 Firebird seats are a little nicer than Camaro seats, and can fit just as easily. You can find them used too. Find some from a 2000-2002 model, they are black leather and match the 1st gen black interior pretty well.

They look like this:

Mark I think the Procar seats would look and work great with your car design and needs. They are priced well too. Give Jim @ http://www.motorsportseats.com/ a call, our members here get a discount!

I really like my Arizen seats. Plus you can have them covered in the factory madrid grain vinyls to match existing stock interior pieces.

I wish I could post pictures so I could show you what I used but I have tried several times and they come out too large for this site and I am not smart enough to figure it out. That said, I will just tell you what I used. I took seats out of two different Nissan 300ZX twin turbo's from '94, I believe. They're not too tall, have decent lumbar and side support (both adjustable) and just plain look good, IMO. Two sets so that I now have power seats for both the driver and passenger and two seats, that were cut down, for the rear passengers. They were then recovered in new leather. I paid $300 for each set.
