I bought this truck in July and have done tons of work on it,had to rewire most of truck due to mixing wiring harness from 2 trucks, have all issues corrected now and have redone interior and added the chrome wheels.Very neat truck now but going to completely disassemble now and give it a very nice paint job.Truck is a lot of fun to drive,it has the 6.0 with all wheel drive and 4.10 gears.

Nice truck. I’ll bet it’s really fun to drive.

This is a serious question, but what makes the SS so cool? I assume its the difference between the AWD and the 4 wheel drive, but I really dont know.

For one, this truck isn't an SS. They only made the SS in extended cab. The SS had specific front ends, wheels, and lower side panels. The work done to this truck to make it look like a real SS is extensive and it turned out great.

There was also a Vortec Max model that would give you the same engine in the 1500 without the looks of the SS.
