Does anyone know if gm performance controller (lsa kit)would would record the and store milage if vss circuit was used and wired with a tr6060 and woukd it retrieveavle through a obd device/scan tool
cluster is still needed?
Just wondering what to do if I were to use a speedo display without build in odometer.

I am looking into this for my '67, though I have an LT4 with a 8L90E transmission.

What I'm looking into is a custom board with something like:

https://www.scantool.net/stn2120/?ut...=stn2120-order

(example circuit: http://www.image.micros.com.pl/_dane...stn2120iml.pdf)

Tie this to with a microcontroller and a motor and you have a way to drive legacy speedometer. The circuit would be something like:

https://electrosome.com/dc-motor-speed-control-pic-pwm/

-- or --

http://www.ibrahimlabs.com/2013/07/p...4-dspic33.html

Serial on a PIC is pretty easy. The interface to the STN2120 is serial, so then its a matter of receiving the speed message from the transmission and spinning the motor at the correct speed driving the speedometer.

What are you going to do for the other sensors (like oil pressure, fuel, etc.)? Are you going to try to drive the dash warning lights? I've been eyeing something like a MicroOLED MDP03 to see if I can fit it in the spaces for the lights, then having a nice, flexible display.

waiting for anvil carbon fibre guys to email me back with diemensions of the 67-68 gauge bezel that most use with racepak. Looking into virtual instrument cluster custom designed, looking at universal dash venator, arduino and few others.
I ll see how much room there is in that bezel to see what size display can be incorporated. would like to try bring as much data from the gm controller via the lan signal, but then stuff like fuel level, turn indicators have to be on seperate
circuits which I'm not sure of how yet. i definetly won't be doing this by my self.
I initially looked into hud display out of my parts donor zl1, a lot of dash needs to be cut, otherwise it's easy to make it work with the gm controller. also have the centre console from the zl1 with gauges, it can also be made to work.
If the virtual dash way won't work for me, I could do spek pro 5" tach and speedo
in the stock style gauge carrier bezel then rest of data of use something like ultragauge mounted flush maybe into radio delete bezel or something.
still left with no fuel level unless settle for analoge gauge. Odometer is still a challenge whichever way i choose without standalone gauge. I m sure there is a device that can be inputed into micro pc but haven't found it yet. Also looking for the fastest possible booting device.
