So I've been playing with this car a little bit after work. Nothing too exciting but I did get the fuel filler mount cut out and I think a decent setup for it. I'll weld it up tomorrow and see if I like it or not.

Thanks guys.

I had a busy weekend and didn't get to work on the car as much as I wanted to. I did get the harness hole filled in my firewall since I changed to Infinitybox setup instead.

And I got the filler mount welded and ready for paint

Today I built a stand for my new grinder

Hopefully I'll be able to start making more progress on the regular now.

So I didn't like how my fuel filler came out. It's not bad, but it could be better. So I scrapped it and started over. The thing that bothered me to most was not being able to get a perfect circle recess. I thought about it last night and had an idea on how to make a perfect circle. After work tonight I cut some scrap 1/4" plate and made a pivot point. I'll refine it later for infinite adjustment for up to 14" circles with a slot and a carriage bolt.

I'll update this again this weekend hopefully with the redesigned filler mount.

That's using your noodle.
Maybe we need a " show me your home made tools " thread
This would be a perfect opening act

Thanks Frank, it worked better than I hoped for.

Part of fuel filler version 2.0 with a perfect circle that I'm really happy with. More work on it tomorrow to hopefully finish it up.

Thanks! I'm really happy with the fitment of the filler cap on this one vs. the old one.
