Default Swap headers for 66 Chevy C10

Hello All,

Don't know if this is the right forum to put it under, but just as the title says, does any one have any header suggestions. I've looked at Doug's, Sanderson, JBA, and Edelbrock. Doug's is the only one that has long tube headers, but it is 1-5/8". All others are shorty headers. I am trying not to have to build a set.

Thanks

Robert

Thanks Chafin. I did actually look there and it was how I found the Doug Thorley headers. I hope someone here may have done the conversion as well. I just don't want to build a set for the truck right now.

I have heard guys talk about Patriot headers. ALso, take a look at the 67-72 Truck Forum, which actually covers all trucks from 47-current.

Are you talking about LS swap headers? You can use s10 ls1 headers, they are "mid" lengths. One of the mags used them, I think hedman.

Also, the edelbrock universals are pretty nice headers, 1 3/4 primary, 3 inch collector. Part number 65762 for ceramic.

Some people say that camaro headers work in the 67 chevy trucks, so you might be able to do that too.

One other choice, dynatech 99-07 truck headers. full length, dont hang down, 1 3/4 primary, 3 inch collector, stainless steel, and nice!!!!

I will show you pics.

I ended up using the edelbrock street rod headers you mentioned. Still had to notch the frame rail a little. I would assume the dynatech headers would not fit because the stock exhaust manifolds didn't fit. Do you have pictures with it installed?

where did you have to notch the frame rail? I'm thinking about doing a LS swap also.

The passenger collector interfered with the lower portion of the framerail as it sweeps down.
