Looks like fun Scott.

Glad to see you have brakes under the car once again too, missed you at CAM East.

We'll see you in Lincoln in a couple of weeks though right?

Default American Autocross

Scott,
I was on grid next to you guys in the Pantera
running OSP ...you boys were haulin ass..

My car did not have the right gearing.. ran second
at first but just too tall.. 1st would just hit the rev
limiter (7000 chip) in about 4 places but just for a
second or two .. not enough to shift but
1 1/2 seconds faster than 2nd gear

Had a great time but only in the 47's
Lost by 1/1000 of a second on Saturday by
a drift car-2400lbs with an Ls and big slicks
We kept going back and forth and I thought
I had him covered and he just edged me.. I thought
about pulling the chip but not worth it

Great time and cooler than the 4th weekend

Bob

Lance,
The new trick rotors stop the car better than ever, but we still have the brake piston knock back. Bruce asked for .012" and for some reason they only made them with .007" (they are getting modified tonight).

We will be at nationals! Still scrambling but things are coming together.

Bob,
I have known your car for years (I have always liked Panteras). Bruce has had a few in the past, that he was telling me about after looking at yours. We did a few gear changes over the past 8 months and still figuring out which gear to use. Previously 1st gear would do 88 mph and 2nd 110 (check out Larry Park event last year. I never wanted to talk what speeds but you can get a clue) Now we have a 70 mph 1st and 93 2nd. Saturdays first couple of runs we tried 1st gear but too much wheel spin and was slow. So Bruce tried 2nd and the car became quick and easy to drive. We used 2nd the rest of the weekend.

Oh, the black box on the dash. the left 8 LED are G loading and the right 8 LEDs are hooked to the throttle position sensor. Makes for a pretty crazy ride.

Scott,
Sounds like you guys are dialing things in
My pantera is more happy on the race track
Doing a no sound limit on Nov 1st at Laguna

Need to spend more time with my Firebird crossing
but the Pantera sometimes gets in the way

Good luck at the Nationals

Bob

Bob,
GREAT JOB. The closest battles are the best!

I know your blue Firebird but for me the Pantera wins. Bruce has a Ford GT and can't bring it out to too many places because of sound. Same thing, it is better on track but a cool car where ever it is.

See you soon,
Scott

That is sweet, I took second place over third place by one thousands of a second last Sunday as well. We had a blast racing neck and neck with each other all day as well.

and fourth with someone else.. now I am in
a points race ... not sure if I can make up
for all the events I missed to win the class
