Here are a few detail shots of the frame.

I wish GM started using the zinc coating on it's body panels a long time ago. (I guess it's zinc) anyway nice project.

Default Update

It’s been a while since I updated. I finished the heat shield for the drivers side under the cab. I put the long block back together. New valve seals, springs, retainers & keeper's, new cam & lifters Comp XE249. New oil pump, oil pump drive shaft w/steel collar, Eddy 3704 intake, Headman Elite HTC long tubes, 46mm TBI, adjustable FPR (Ultimate TBI mods.) etc. Headers were a very tight fit near the frame and UCA mount. I had to tape the areas and pound on them with a 1lb hammer to get enough clearance. There’s nothing like pounding on a set of new $300 dollar headers. I am very impressed with the strength of the coating, no chips, cracks or blems.

That takes a LOT of guts to start wailing on your new headers with a BFH. Looks good from here...

Default Exhaust mock-up

Just a teaser, a poor man has poor ways. I put the cab back on to mock up and install the exhaust. I ran out of mandrel 90's and made me some "paper & tape" 45's to keep going. I laid out a 45 on a 90 and wrapped it with a layer of paper and masking tape. I cut it down the inside seam, took it off and taped it back together. I'll post more pictures when I have time.
