Hi Greg,

Like many here I too have been wondering about the progress of the memorial car.

Sorry to hear of the lack of progress recently.

The Firebird you're starting with looks amazing...wow!

Are you going to post a rendering?

You do know we have a 24/7 pic issue, right?

Congrats Greg! Everything you do is honorable, selfless (except giving Vince a hard time which I'm sure he deserves).

Please keep in touch and be mindful of the all powerful mod's comments

Vince should be done installing them in the next few weeks. ( Vince are you reading this??) I will be posting some pics later this evening for your viewing enjoyment. I don't have a rendering just yet.
Yep, Im here, just happened to be finishing up with this weeks spread sheets and getting my purchase orders ready for the up coming projects.

I know Greg has been through the wash with other builders so I will do my best to keep progress going at a resonable pace. I'll throw as many pictures that I can up as well. I have a few parts ready to go into CAD for my machinist and many will be as innovative as we can get them. I just wish I had a Lassy trained metal fabricator to come down and lend a hand. I have a bunch of cool tools and equiptment to work with and always have 3 filled argon tanks ready to go in the shop. All of which are paid for might I add.

This should be a pretty fun project for us and we hope it builds interest and momentum for his charity.
Right now we are going through the strip down so we can get it ready for the media blaster for an underside, interior and firewall clean up.

Some of the features to come:

Modify firewall and space for the Peterson dry sump oil tank
raised floor and widen transmission tunnel
modifying and relocating the factory floor supports
notching the frame and DSE tubs to clear the monsterous rear end from The GMR.

Here is the car the way we received getting prepped for the DSE subframe connector installation.
enjoy

Looking real good Greg and Vince.

Any truth to the rumor that when you 'notch' a gorgeous DSE subframe you need to get their written permission first?

Don't worry, it's not the first DSE sub to be "butchered."
