Had a lot of fun at Goodguys yesterday.Probably the first time I've stayed all day at A G.G. event in YEARS! The staging for the cars left something to be desired.Seems like when its held in that Area there is always casualties. atleast when it was in the area of the swap meet there was more room to space out the k-rails. and you were able to get spectators 360deg. around the course plus with added fence line more spectators got to be up front and it didnt seem crowded as much. on the other hand if Goodguys decides to keep it where it is this weekend atleast move it back towards the Trees for June show so spectators have shade and The participants can stage on the other side where you wont get a ton of people walking through the staging area allowing participants to have "More Runs".Sorry for all the NOOB criticism!
I felt real bad for the Girl driving Cause you can tell she felt really bad for what had happened,Kind of felt like an Ass for taking the pics. here is the Aftermath of the Spectre Camaro.
The weather today was perfect. We all parked a few feet back and used the grass as a driveway to our stalls. It was run very smooth today with only one car (Cobra replica) hitting (just a kiss) a fence. No apparant damage today. Times went lower today, especially Mike Maier and Mark Rife improved. I was able to finally figure it out today and drop .7 seconds off my best Saturday time. It was great seeing Mark with his 1963 Corvette make it out to Pleasanton and give me a run for my money.
