Default Help with fan switch SBC

I believe my fan switch is out because my fans are not kicking on when the engine is hot and I am having to manually turn them on. I took a piece of wire and touched it to the switch and the block to ground it and they kick on. I purchased a new fan switch from Summit, but I am having a hell of a time getting a socket or wrench on the 11/16 connection.

Is there a trick I am unaware of to get this thing out without having to take the headers off? Pics below.

Yeah one socket I have isn’t deep enough and the other is too deep. I haven’t been able to find one in between.

Part of the reason why I hate headers on a street car., I feel your pain.

Have you tried an offset wrench like this?

No this might be a good option to explore though. I’m going to go look for one.
