Default Lt1 Or Vortec

I am helping a friend build his first motor for a 66 Nova

here's what we have Aftermarket Vortec heads and two engine cores Vortec or LT1- it will be carbed- which one would you start with?

will the Vortec heads work on the LT motor?

no they will not. use the vortec block

u will run into alot of modifications with the lt1 block

I had an LT1 big waiste of money I think I spent like 2 grand on parts to up grade for the motor and run high 12s.
