Default Led help

On a tight budget, so I picked up a set of oval trailer lights and cut them to fit behind my lens of my 69 Nova taillights. The led taillight is a completely potted and sealed unit with a plug in harness that has 3 wires...
White= Ground
Black=Stop
Red=turn

I have them tied to my Yellow and Brown wires on my stock harness, and have a new Led load flasher that is properly grounded. When I turn my park lights on, the taillight dims, and stays dim until I hit the turn signal, where it gets bright and stays bright, no flashing. I only have one led taillight installed, as accordin to my wiring diagram the lights are paralled in, so I wouldn't think having one reg light and one led would make a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
