Don't get me wrong, but if somebody offered me a brand new Corvette I would take it in a heartbeat. HOWEVER, building musclecars like those that can compete with the likes of modern Corvettes and GTRs is the ultimate "cool" factor for me. Brian and Mark's Camaros are freakin badazz, that's all I can say.

Man, after reading the posts on that Corvette site, I remain greatful for this site and the open mindedness of the people here. Maybe it was the way I read those posts, but they sounded a bit arrogant and mostly out of touch with reality---except Danny's post where our old cars were actually given some credit. I hope that small demographic of posters doesn't represent the Corvette population at large---however, some of the Vette owers at Cars and Coffee close by to me haven't done much to change the sterotype unfortuanetly. They really seem to have tunnel vision and only respect one brand/make---I'm wondering if this is because it's all they really know? I have to remind myself sometimes that in reality there are very few PT cars that actually make it to the track and are run as hard as they can be. I would imagine that very few of these vette owners have seen some of our best do what they are capable of. I would have thought that after watching the event, they would show some respect. I hate to say it, but it is making me really want to take the drag car and covert it into a 90% race only X-Treme PT car---of course, then I would really have to learn how to race on a road course and auto X--

As Cliff Huxtable's daughter Denise once explained to him "The world is closed."

And it gets worse, I read on that same forum the C6 guys won't even return the C3 guys 'Corvette' wave!

The proper term would be Douche Bag.

I had a pretty cool C5 a few years ago. Cam, headers, Fikse wheels... I was sitting at a red light one day with my window down when a car came by me in the left turn lane and the guy yellled, "nice car a$$hole". I can only imagine that he had encountered some of the CorvetteForums members prior to that day.

The Corvette world is a whole other place in this universe.

The Camaro later consumed the money from the C5 and a few other toys...

LOL---as my 6 year old daughter says---"For Reals"? That's like the ultimate back handed complement.

I don't want to believe it, but reality forces me too. I reread the thread again and man---they have some pretty large egos over there---I wonder if you went to the Porsche site if it would only get worse---ask Weld, he's got one.

I still think late model Camaro and Mustang guys are worse, on average. I know you spent some quality time making friends with the Camaro 5 guys on the way to Arizona. On my Mustang I have tinted windows... because I'm almost embarrassed to be seen
