THIS is exactly the attitude I feel everyone at car show should have. I tell friends of mine I simply won't drive my custom stuff or attend a car event if I'm not feeling social.

If I ever meet you at a car show Greg, I'm gonna do one of two things. Either ask for a ride in said vehicle that's there or ask for the keys to drive it myself. Then I'll say...hey, we're friends....remember?!
I’ve always shared my good fortune with my friends — I’ve let my friends drive my race cars — I let friends drive my hot rods — Rudy drove my Nomad for 2 years while we worked on his Camaro.....
So in other words... I’d probably toss ya the keys.

I remember seeing ads in the back of the SCCA magazine
many moons ago where you could buy a place in the middle
of nowhere with a race track on the property... always
dreamed of having one of those

Don't see any of those adds anymore

That would be because it’s quite common these days to have a track with lots to build on.... and shop spaces etc. They’re building 2 new tracks right here in Phoenix.
Track-Condos. They are doing a private build up near Lime Rock where you can get an "introductory" buy in for a really "good" deal. The units are beautiful and they are on the property with all kinds of amenities. Starting at 1.7m and up. Looks the ultimate boys club..
