I do want thank Jay for the great customer service and getting the parts around to me in time for the Midwest Musclecar Challenge. Very pleased so far with this kit! As Jay noted, I had consistent brake pedal feel throughout the day. No pad knockback detected.

Next batch is heading to zinc/anodize this Thursday. Will have multiple sets in stock and ready to ship next Thursday.

Please note, axles take approx. 3 weeks from the time that your order is placed (you will need to also provide necessary measurements to confirm correct axle lengths).

Let me know if you need any other details.

Jay

Jay,

When installing the system on the backing plate. Are you cutting the axle tube flush with the flange and what size are those bolts?

Mike,
Hi Mike,

Hope this helps. I have pictured below the required prep and can be done with basic hand tools, obviously you can utilize many different power tools to accomplish the same thing in a matter of minutes. For purposes of illustration I prepared my end in a vise, however this work can be done exactly the same while installed under your car.Oh, the adaptor bolts, or optional ARP studs are 3/8"....

With your existing axles & brakes removed......

Place a rag or similar inside the axle tube to keep debris from entering while performing the prep work

Cut excess axle tube at edge of factory parking brake dust shield register

Tube end removed. The remaining factory dust shield register will now locate the C6/C7 Adaptor centric to the diff/axle tube

Clean up cut with file

Chuck up the included step-bit into your powered or cordless drill

A few squirts of WD-40 at each of the (4) holes

With included step bit, proceed to drill out each existing 3/8" hole to 1/2". These are now ready to accept the 1/2" bosses that protrude from the C6/C7 Adaptor that help locate/strengthen the system

That's it, you are now ready to install your kit!

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Jay
