Default 68 Camaro Center Console Dimensions

I've searched the archives both here and elsewhere but can't seem to find a dimension for how tall a factory (no gauge cluster) center console is for a 68 Camaro. I'm hoping someone wouldn't mind measuring theirs. I'd love to know the how tall it is at the front as well as the distance between the front edge and the center of the manual shifter opening. Just trying to see if I have enough room with my raised trans tunnel. Thanks in advance!

Is there a difference between the non gauge to the gauged console in height? I have my gauged console in the basement for my 68. If it is the same I could measure it in the morning.

That'd be most appreciated! I meant that I was looking for the measurement for the height of just the console itself, not including to the top of the gauge cluster. Thanks!

yeah, confirm if you still need the measurements. I have the speedtech raised tunnel (http://www.speedtechperformance.com/...rod/prd264.htm with a factory center console (no gauges) and have ~.75" between the top of the tunnel and chrome shifter opening.

Thanks guys! I did get a response but I'd love to see some pics of the console with the Speedtech setup! After doing 4 stops on Power Tour plus a few other longer road trips, I've changed my mind about not running a console. Based on the measurements I got, I don't think I can run a factory setup which is bit disappointing given the mostly stock nature of my interior. If I remember right, I've got about 4.75" of clearance from the top of my tunnel to the bottom of the dash...
