Default 66' R2.8 FJ ... round 2

Ok ... here we go again, but this time more emphasis on Resto

NO rust 1966 FJ40 from Alaska

PLan;
Very traditional exterior, awesome drivetrain, and bad A!! interior
Colour - Toyota Calvary blue, traditional white hard top, white front grill/bezel and powder coated custom 16" white smoothie wheels with 33's
OME 2" suspension with Fox shocks (again)
Crate Cummins R2.8 Diesel engine, GM NV4500 5 speed tranny, Toyota split case
and lots of cool crap

so far ....
Stripped down to bare steel and epoxied

So ... found a guy in Washington that will tune this little baby to put out 480 foot Lbs of torque !! Thats more than my 6.0L LS

Cant wait to see this !

Who did you source the wheels through?
We’ve been toying with the idea of going to 18s on ours just to give it some more stability on the highway. Nothing like the wallow of 33s on a 15x6 wheel....

Hey Jeff .. the biggest I could go with the smoothie wheels was 16, there may be other adoptions but give Rex a call and ask him about going bigger. He made them to accommodate the OEM hub caps

Mine will be done this week, so hope to see them soon

I know they aren't Forgeline's but they ARE custom made just for me !!
These are 16x8's powder coated in Wimbledon white smoothie wheels made to accommodate the OEM Toyota hubcaps
