I wish I could offer something, but I’m a t56. Which for the record, does not fit and requires a full tunnel re-do.

I've never seen a new tranny tunnel for an auto but Speedtech offers one for a t56 . My advice , trim fit trim fit trim fit ,until it finds its way home

A 6L80 is a larger trans than a T56 or TKO and much taller so a little more trimming will be necessary. A lower profile trans pan from a Pontiac G8 is highly recommended, too.

Here's a 6L80 install in a 64 Chevelle.

Pontiac G8 pan does not fit a 6L90E. Options are the truck pan and CTS-V pan as far as I know and they are only slightly different. Not sure about the ZL1 Camaro pan. Raising the trans high enough to get decent pan clearance may lead to fitment issues with long tube headers. At least it did for me when I installed a 6L90E in my 69 Camaro.

How about a trans tunnel from a 5th or 6th gen Camaro. cut it out and use what you need from it. Just a thought.

Thanks for the correction, Don. I'm considering a 6L80 swap and was told a G8 pan would work. Didn't realize the 6L90 pan was different.

My 70 has stainless mid-length headers so hopefully that won't be an issue.

PML is looking at building low-profile pans for the 6L90 so they may be an option. https://www.yourcovers.com/transpan_11036.php
Here's a Note from them: "Cadillac CTS-V, 2009 to 2015, and some new CTS and Camaro ZL1 models have the 6L90 transmission. This pan will fit the transmission but is probably too deep to maintain clearance. We are considering a low profile, stock capacity pan for the 6L90."

Thanks,I am leaving the dry sump oil pan on it but trans. pan sure needs to be shallower.
