I started my professional automotive career 30 years ago this week. I came to GM as a Summer Intern to work on the GM Show Room Stock Camaro / Firebird race program. Also that summer I helped build the first 81LE Camaro and Firebirds in the Van Nuys assembly plant.
I have had a great career so far and not all at GM. I have bounded around a bit have had a chance to work on a lot of interesting projects.
I put together the attached slide show awhile back for a SAE meeting to help pitch my book. I have updated it to show most every car I have every owned or worked on to present.

I thought I would share it with my Lateral-G buddies. Sorry for no audio for most of it and a couple longer videos.
People keep asking me what I’m doing next… I’m not sure. I want to finish Lillard’s Riv and sort it out from there.
Going into the holiday weekend I though people might get a kick out of this. I presented this to my staff this week and some of my newer employees did not know my full background. I have been very luck to do what I enjoy. But looking though this list of projects I tend to reflect on all the deal lines and events I have hit. I could have never of done all this cars without a lot of people help and support. I would like to thank my Lateral – G friends for all the support and encouragement over the years!
Have a great weekend.
Mark

Hey Mark, thanks for posting up the retrospective! What a journey you've had for sure...
Curious, what years did you compete at the High School Drag at KCIR? I'm guessing we are about the same age and pretty sure I would have been out there at the same time these were taken...

It was 1982 and 1983. Like a lot of people I started out drag racing. I used my Dads KZ1000 to win it in 1983 because my AMX was hit on my way to school.
