Default Power steering hard lines

Hey guys looking for some advice or help finding a solution for PS lines on my chevy II. I am running a dse sub and stock F body accessories. I purchased the dse hose kit but since I am running a stock ps pump and not the vintage air front runner type my routing isn't as cut and dry. I am wondering if I can make some hard lines to get the hose fittings in a better location. But can I use annealed stainless and AN flares or will that not hold the PSI. I am open to suggestions as I am out of ideas.

If I could just get the return fitting up a few inches I think I could make the dse hose kit work. But other than running a AN extension I can't find a taller adapter.
