Ah that explains it! I'm all signed up for what sounds like the second Motor State Challenge. Hit me up if you'd like me to ride shot gun with you for a few laps, be happy too.

Sounds like Ginerman will have the track extension done so some of it will be new to me. With the longer back straight we should see some interesting speeds, probably 5th gear with my 4:11's.

Default Too Funny

I will see you there. Suppose to hook up with Ron somewhere in Ohio. Decided I am towing to this event. Not sure my ears can handle 700 plus miles of jamming stereo and loud exhaust. I must be getting old.

Default 75 Cars and Counting!!

Boys and girls. The Second Annual Motor State Challenge is just around the corner. Car counts are coming into focus:

CAR COUNTS:
BBQ/Cruise - June 18th: 75 Cars and counting have signed up for the BBQ/Cruise with more than 130 to 150 fellow pro touring gearheads expected. The Motor State people go so far as to have Fire trucks and police cars close off streets and direct traffic. So the cruise is more like a parade with emergency lights flashing and V8's rumbling.

Road Course - June 19th: Track Day at Gingerman Raceway has 60-65 participants PLUS 8-10 vendor entries.

Autocross - June 20th: Sunday's Autocross already has 50-55 cars signed up plus 8-10 vendor entries.

The Motor State Challenge is affordable and offers seemingly unlimited track time. If you are a spectator, expect to witness nothing less than the most amazing pro touring cars getting thrashed mercilessly all day and all weekend long.

There will be Time Trial competition consisting of lowest combined lap times from the Road Course Quick 16 plus the Sunday Autocross. All participants must complete the cruise and run on minimum 200 treadwear tires. Timing and Scoring as well as Safety scrutineering will be handled by the South Bend Region of the SCCA.

It does not matter if your car is done. Come on out and spectate or catch a ride on one of the cars.

It does not matter where you live. Participants will come from as far as Maine, Florida, and California.

It does not matter if you have 200 treadwear tires. Motor State has agreed to make special, separate "Exhibition" trophies just for the sub 200 TW entrants. You do not need to run out and buy tires.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy or participate in the 2nd Annual Motor State Challenge. Dates are June 18, 19, 20. Keep a lookout here for more details and updates.

We look forward to seeing you out there.
/Steve
