Default Aeroquip Push Loc hose for EFI?

Anyone here have experience with Aeroquip Push Loc with EFI? My hydraulics shop tole me it was fine. It was rated for fuel and 250PSI.

The problem is that after 500 miles one of the hoses came loose and sprayed gas everywhere while I was driving. I found the following when I went to fix it. The two 6AN fuel rail lines run to a 8AN out Y fitting before meeting up with the filter.

So you can see where the hose split and then after I cut the hose back about 6 inches you can see what I found inside. Disconcerting to say the least?

Does anyone on here have similar experiences with their stuff? At roughly $6 a foot, I expect better.

I don’t see any kind of liner in that hose. I use Holley Vaporguard hose. Looks similar but has a liner. Fittings use a crimp ring.

SAE 100R6 is hydraulic hose. Most likely not intended for fuel.

I though you were supposed to put those crimp bands or the aluminum retainer rings on those still?

Thanks guys. I'll look for some J30 hose.

Does anyone know of a push lock hose that is EFI certified?

I use Redhorse everything, but the gates stuff is easy to come by, too. And the metal crimps are mandatory insurance on the push lock stuff

I've never had problems with XRP hose and fittings. I have seen issues mixing and matching hose and fittings; different manufacturers may have slightly different sizing on their fittings.

I also like their clamps for higher pressure apps, makes me feel better.

Do you use clamps or bands with the Gates hose?
